The old wall on this property was on its way out. Bowing, cracking, clearly not long for the world — and holding back a few feet of grade right along the property line, which meant it had to go before something gave. We pulled the whole thing out, dug back to undisturbed ground, laid a proper compacted base, and built a new segmental block wall in its place with drainage behind it. Walls don't fail for mysterious reasons. They fail for the same three or four reasons every time — bad base, no drainage, wrong materials. We fixed all of them.
